My April 2026 Scroll

“Sin is a lying, thieving, destructive force that always takes us further than we intended to go, costs us more than we wanted to pay, and gives us less than it promised.  God warns the world to avoid sin.  Every divine image-bearing person on the planet has some residue of God’s hatred for sin in their soul.  Sadly, the sin that so easily entangles us takes the desires God intended to be used for good and turns them against us.”

“God’s people must be mindful of the deceitfulness of the heart and the emptiness of sin….God is to be taken seriously.”

“We will either be killing sin or sin will be killing us…Those who kill sin live with hope.”  “Sin feels good in the moment, but then fades and leaves us hung over and in a worse condition….Sin does not stay tucked away in a category of our life.  It always seeps into other areas of life, causing harm.  The harm of sin is rarely seen until it is too late…Those who will not heed the warning of God will be destroyed by sin.”

“Are you taking sin seriously?  Are you killing sin so you can live in Jesus?  The grace of God has the power to redeem and restore us.”
