Legions of facts about ditching the television treated as a rumor…

PUBLISHED ON MY PREVIOUS BLOG ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2022

“Today is history.  Today will be remembered.  Years from now, the young will ask with wonder about this day.  Today is history, and you are part of it….Think about that.  By this evening, those six centuries are a rumor.  They never happened.  Today is history.”  –from a 1943 speech taken to heart by people fully infected with a social contagion

“…Years from now…”  / YEAR ONE / from Sep 3, 2022 thru Sep 2,2023

  • The President Of The United States advocates for the mutilation of children.  The state of California passes a law giving the state the legal right to seize children from other states for the purpose of mutilating those children.
  • Christian children are murdered by a member of the politically-correct.  Another who is politically-incorrect is verbally abused before being assaulted.  Still others who are politically-incorrect are kidnapped, receive death threats, or spit upon by the politically-correct.
  • A proud tax fraud twice-impeached charged with 75+ felonies leads the polls as the Republican frontrunner for the 2024 race.

“…Years from now…” / YEAR TWO / from Sep 3, 2023 thru Sep 2, 2024

  • During the end-of-the-year coverage recapping 2023, the media covers up and lies about the politically-correct murders, assault, kidnapping, and death threats…most of which happened in early spring of 2023.
  • The proud tax fraud twice-impeached charged with 75+ felonies wins the Republican primaries.
  • THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY:  The Vice-President Of The United States is forced to resign from office due to income tax evasion.
  • THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY:  The President Of The United States is forced to resign from office as he faced impeachment over his attempts to obstruct justice.

“…Years from now…” / YEAR THREE / from Sep 3, 2024 thru Sep 2, 2025

  • The proud tax fraud twice-impeached charged with 75+ felonies is re-elected back into the White House.
  • The President-elect makes it clear that a top priority of his is to obstruct justice.
  • THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY:  an unanswered prayer sets the story in motion for Hollywood’s first summer blockbuster.
  • THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY:  America loses its first war.
  • THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY:  The first publication of a book that would make its author in 1933 “the most prosperous author in Germany and for the first time a millionaire”, according to journalist/historian William Shirer, in his monumental study of Hitler’s empire.  Shirer would write in the very next sentence, “Except for the Bible, no other book sold as well during the Nazi regime, when few family households felt secure without a copy on the table.”

Does your family household feel secure without a television?

A Sharp Difference In 50 Years

December 11, 2024 by Blogging For 20 Years • Uncategorized • 0 Comments

In 1974, the man occupying the White House was facing impeachment on the grounds he had obstructed justice.  As a result, he became the first American president to resign from office less than two years after his landslide re-election victory (winning the popular vote by 60%).  Only one other president had faced impeachment in American history at that point.

Forced to resign as he faced impeachment on the grounds he had obstructed justice.

Fifty years later, the country re-elects a man (already twice impeached) by less than 51%.  The president-elect’s top priority?  To obstruct justice.

Re-elected despite being twice impeached with plans to obstruct justice.

Such sharp differences.  What a difference 50 years can make.

Helping Others

December 11, 2024 by Blogging For 20 Years • Uncategorized • 0 Comments

  • The government helps those who will vote them back into office.  –a basic philosophy that the left rely upon
  • The rich get richer.  The poor get poorer.  –an economic philosophy held by many on the right
  • “God helps them that help themselves.”  –Benjamin Franklin

I have a few questions concerning people who for the most part don’t quite make seven-figure salaries but of whom our society is very dependent on.  (People like our military personnel, honest cops, quality teachers who aren’t a part of a demented agenda, electricians, maintenance technicians, many business managers and others in leadership roles, church leaders, missionaries, engineers, astronauts, air-traffic controllers, airline pilots, firefighters, construction workers, house builders, appliance installers, many architects, people who work in the medical field, pharmacists, and countless other specialists and professionals.)

Here’s the first question:  Are these people so much less helpful to society than multi-millionaires, billionaires, and multi-billionaires that multi-millionaires, billionaires, and multi-billionaires truly and seriously deserve to make much, much more money by an exponential margin than all these specialists, professionals, and other groups of people…most of whom will never see a seven-figure salary?

Here’s another question, a more accurate question for the point I’m trying to make.  A question for those people on the right who would argue for a flat tax in light of the $36 trillion national debt:  Seriously, should specialists, professionals, and other groups of people who make only five-figure or six-figure salaries be forced to pay the same tax rate as those multi-millionaires,  billionaires, and multi-billionaires?

Using Eisenhower’s accomplishments during the early 1940’s as a context, here’s my favorite of the three questions I’m here to ask on this particular post:  Did President Eisenhower have any insight into the top 1% of American society considering that the highest marginal tax rate during his eight years as president was at 91%?

Between 1932 and 1981, the highest marginal income tax rates remained above 62%.  (Since 1987, the highest marginal tax rates have remained below 40%.)  Between 1932 and 1981, America survived a world-wide economic depression, fought and helped win World War II, fought two additional wars, spent three decades winning the Cold War, built most of a vast network of interstates, learned to send rockets into space after many failed attempts in the early 60’s, sent men to the moon and back safely more than seven times, (landing men on the moon six of those times)….America did these things all the while keeping the national debt below $1 trillion up until 1981.  Since 1981, the national debt has exploded to $36 trillion.  You do the math.

  • The rich get richer.  The poor get poorer.  –an economic philosophy held by many on the right
  • “God helps them that help themselves.”  –Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin vs Television

Benjamin Franklin vs The Voices On Television

  • The worst wheel of the cart makes the most noise.
  • The rotten apple spoils his companions.

Benjamin Franklin vs Television Viewers

  • Lost time is never found again.
  • The rotten apple spoils his companions.
  • There are lazy minds as well as lazy bodies.
  • God helps them that help themselves.

(As far as the last quote is concerned, my point about television is that when people watch television, they aren’t helping themselves.)

Less Than 51% Of The Popular Vote

December 3, 2024 by Blogging For 20 Years • Uncategorized • 0 Comments

According to recent news sources, Trump either received less than 50% of the popular vote in last month’s election, or he barely received 50% by the slimmest of margins.  Either way, he received less than 51% of the popular vote.   And he lost the popular vote in the previous two elections.

Taking into account the severity of the social contagions on the left during the past decade…and that the films “What Is A Woman?” and “Am I Racist?” are not works of fiction…it says something about the leading national political candidate opposing the left to have such a struggle in securing important victories during such insane times.

FDR won his first two elections by 57% and 60%.  Eisenhower won by 55% and 57%.  Reagan won by 58% in his second election.  Considering the insanity of the left in recent years, the political leader on the right should have won by much more than by only receiving 50% of the popular vote.

And don’t forget that after four years of Trump’s presidency, 81 million people voted against Trump in 2020.  The asinine social contagions on the left weren’t exactly dormant in 2020.  There was no excuse to have so many people vote against the leading conservative political candidate in 2020.

81 million votes after four years of a Trump presidency.  That calls for a closer examination to be put into its proper perspective compared to how FDR, Eisenhower, and Reagan did after their first four years.

Any conservative who sees last month’s election results as a national mandate for Trump to do anything he wants should stop and reconsider by reflecting on the size of previous victories of former presidents like FDR, Eisenhower, and Reagan.  Trump’s win was less about Trump than it was about being against the left and what they’ve come to stand for.

Oh, wait a minute.  Wait a minute.  Wait just one minute.  Trump was named Time’s 2024 Person Of The Year.   I guess that changes everything.  I guess I was wrong about Trump.

Just kidding.  Just a little timely humor there.  Get it?  A little timely humor?  Get it?  Timely humor?

Anyway, what was I going to say?  Oh yeah…the last three Presidential elections have seen a change of political parties in the White House.

Four of the last five elections have given us a change in leadership from the previous political party.  That’s only happened twice before in American history.  Once when President Cleveland twice interrupted Republican dominating rule for half a century after the Civil War.  The other time this happened when four out of five elections gave us that kind of change in leadership occurred in the two decades leading up to the Civil War.  (And I think it’s safe to say that no one political party has dominated the Presidential elections for the past fifty years.)  In other words, the last several elections seem to have more in common with the decades leading up to the Civil War rather than during the times of President Cleveland.

The World’s Biggest Social Contagion

“It’s the world’s biggest something.”  –an insult aimed at television, spoken by Charles Van Doren in the 1994 Best Picture nominee Quiz Show

Charles Van Doren–a real life character who had inside knowledge about television during its early years.

“…a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right…Time makes more converts than reason.”

“In the following pages I offer nothing more than simple facts, plain arguments, and common sense; and have no other preliminaries to settle with the reader, than that he will divest himself of prejudice and prepossession, and suffer his reason and his feelings to determine for themselves; that he will put on, or rather that he will not put off the true character of a man, and generously enlarge his views beyond the present day.”  –from Common Sense by Thomas Paine

FROM A 1986 SEQUEL  (1986…a year of several important sequels.)

Newt:  My mommy always said there were no monsters, no real ones.  But there are.

Ripley:  Yes, there are.  Aren’t there?

Newt:  Why do they tell little kids that?

Ripley:  Most of the time it’s true.

“Most of the time it’s true.”

  • Over two centuries of a peaceful transfer of power.
  • Over two centuries of law and order, checks and balances, and justice.

“Yes, there are.  Aren’t there?”

  • Anyone who voted in the primaries for a felon to occupy the highest office in the land.  And not just a felon, but a felon 75+times over.
  • Obstructing justice and threatening to incarcerate one’s political enemies.

Slithering

“You’re still alive!  Keep moving!  Keep moving!” …. ”Beautifully conceived!  Beautifully executed!” –from a 1998 movie set during World War II, a Best Picture nominee recognized by the DGA and that won a prestigious film industry award for its cinematography

  • “Kill Your Sins” –from Simplify Your Spiritual Life
  • Hollywood’s brand new king. 1981-1982.  “This whole place is slithering.”
  • The left’s slithering “view” on mutilating children
  • California’s governor slithering his way through a debate against two inept conservatives on television.
  • A politician hiding the one issue she cares about the most during her campaign while running for office.
  • How the left slithered their presidential candidate to suddenly become the front-runner after a no-show in the early primaries in 2020.
  • How the left slithered this year’s presidential candidate into her position in 2020.
  • How the left slithered their presidential candidate past the primaries this past year.
  • Disingenuous debating tactics used by champions of truth to defend Trump.
